Former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon is keeping every option open as he continues his war against establishment politicians up for re-election in 2018.
According to reports, Bannon has been in contact with Robert Ritchie, better known by his stage name Kid Rock, about a potential run for Michigan’s Senate seat.
Michigan Democrat Senator Debbie Stabenow is up for re-election in 2018 and looks to be a target of Bannon as her approval rating declines.
Last month, a hypothetical poll was conducted to see which potential candidate would lead the way.
The numbers showed Senator Stabenow ahead of Ritchie, but Bannon has declared a “season of war” on Republican lawmakers.
A publicist for Ritchie has not confirmed the conversations with Bannon, but teased that an announcement would be coming soon.
