I’ve made my arguments about foreign students/workers staying in the US well past their visa expiration date. I applaud POTUS Donnie bringing light on the subject however it needs to go beyond just pointing the finger at these individuals and cracking down on business and university/schools as well. They need to report first to Immigration officials when those individuals are no longer attending/working for the process to begin or there needs to be some sort of reminder indicator sent to Immigration officers of expiration date.
Well if the DMV can send me notices to renew my Drivers License, a similar system should be set for Immigration officers/case managers on Visas. Oh wait, that means the Gov might have to hire a whole lot of people to help the already overburdened understaffed department – PB/TK

the argument about students/workers overstaying their visas many times, so I applaud POTUS Donnie for jumping on this topic, however just going after the “overstayers” ain’t enough as authorities need to be cracking down on universities/schools and businesses to ensure they are doing their part in reporting.

Based on the president’s executive order on illegal immigration, the State Department has issued new guidelines for “overstayers.”
It targets foreign students and workers who do not return home when their visas expire, and also urges U.S. diplomats to look skeptically at new visa applicants.
The Department of Homeland Security reported 739,000 immigrants have overstayed their student and work visas during the last fiscal year.
