As Nashville officials booted Kid Rock from the city’s Christmas Parade following his profane swipe at Joy Behar, Rock elaborated Friday night on his jab at the TV host and comic.

The musician cited comments Behar made last year on “The View,” where she criticized an irreverent photo of Rock, Ted Nugent and Sarah Palin snapped in front of Hillary Clinton’s White House portrait.

The comedian’s criticism clearly didn’t sit well with Rock. Discussing the American political climate during a Friday morning “Fox & Friends” appearance, he said: “I would say, ‘Love everybody’ … except I’d say, ‘Screw that Joy Behar (expletive).’ ”

The live segment had Fox hosts quickly scrambling to apologize to viewers.

On Facebook Friday night, Rock wrote that while he apologized for cursing on live television, he wasn’t sorry for the anti-Behar sentiment.

“Mess with the bull, you get the horns,” Rock wrote. “End of story.”

Rock added that he didn’t expect an apology from Behar or “anyone else who has choice words for me or doesn’t like me.”

Kid Rock’s “Fox & Friends” segment prompted backlash from the mayor of Nashville, where Rock was scheduled to lead Saturday’s Christmas Parade. The Democratic mayor said he’d likely skip the parade if Rock remained grand marshal, and by Friday evening, Rock had been pulled.

Rock, Nugent and Palin visited President Donald Trump in the White House in April 2017, and their dismissive photo in front of Clinton’s portrait quickly went viral.

On “The View” the next day, Behar slammed the trio for the snapshot, asking: “Is this the saddest day in the history of the White House since the British burned it to the ground in 1814?”

“They won. They’re sore winners,” Behar said of the Trump-supporting threesome. “It’s like, OK, so shut up now.”

Kid Rock on Friday also tweeted out a link to his 2012 video with Sean Penn, in which the right-leaning Rock and left-leaning Penn called for American unity ahead of the contentious presidential election.
